Assessment
Two weeks, fixed price. We map what you have, verify how it behaves, and tell you what it would cost to build. You keep the written assessment whether or not you continue with us.
Week one
Scope - agree what we are looking at
A short kick-off to set the boundary. Which systems, which reports, which figures matter most, and who we need thirty minutes with.
- Agree the systems and subject areas in scope
- Identify the figures the business depends on most
- Line up access and the people we need to speak to
- Fix the questions the report will answer
Week one
Map - the estate as it stands
We trace the estate as it is, not as the documentation describes it. Sources, flows, transformations, schedules, owners, and the manual steps in between.
- Source inventory with owners and refresh frequencies
- End-to-end data flow, including the spreadsheet stages
- Where transformations happen and who can change them
- Run history: what completes on time, and what needs attention
Week two
Test - verify it end to end
We reconcile a sample of figures back to source and confirm exactly where each one comes from. This is the part that turns opinion into evidence.
- Reconcile selected figures from report back to source
- Pinpoint any divergence, with the queries that demonstrate it
- Check refresh reliability and load completeness
- Quantify the manual effort currently going into the process
Week two
Report - what it would take to build
A written assessment with findings, options, effort and sequencing. It is yours regardless of whether you continue with us, and it is written so someone else could act on it.
- Findings with evidence, ranked by the value of addressing them
- Options with indicative effort and sequencing
- A recommended architecture, and the honest case against it
- A walkthrough session with your team
- Yours to keep, and usable by any supplier
Why start here
The cheapest way to find out whether we fit
Nobody should commit to a platform on the strength of a sales conversation. This is deliberately small, deliberately fixed, and deliberately useful even if it ends there.
Fixed price, fixed length
Agreed before it starts. No discovery phase that quietly becomes a quarter.
You keep the output
The report is written to be actionable by anyone, including another supplier. It is not a sales document with a proposal stapled to it.
It can end here
If the honest answer is that your current setup is fine, or that a smaller change will do, that is what the report says.
It grounds everything after
Every larger engagement we take on starts from evidence gathered this way, which is why they land closer to their estimates.
